How to trim the perfect Christmas tree

I actually wrote this post for a client in the US. However, I’m posting it here because having a Christmas tree is relatively new to Spain, and lots of Spaniards ask me how to do it. Plus it has some photos of beautiful trees I’ve seen around the world that I thought my readers might enjoy. My favorites: the all red tree from the St. Regis in NYC, and the peacock covered tree from Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts. The little tree with the real candles on it? That was my tree from last year. A friend of mine went to the Christmas markets in Germany and brought them back for me- we lit them on Christmas Eve when my dad came to visit me.
